Born in New York City in 1946, artist Ron Goldfinger now resides in the Southern Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.  Despite a 35 year career as a practicing physician he has never lost his passion for painting.

His training in art began in early childhood at museum and private art schools.  He graduated from New York City’s prestigious High School of Music and Art in 1964 and went on to study Art and Biology, graduating with a B.A., Magna Cum Laude and, then attaining an M.D. Degree, graduating with honors.  During all that time Ron continued to pursue his artistic goals with studies at the renowned Art Students League in New York City.  Later he studied privately with several well known New York artists.

His paintings have been exhibited in many juried shows.  These include: in New York City, the Knickerbocker Artists Club with an award for best painting; in Nyack, N.Y., at the South Nyack Art Festival, with an award for best painting, and a one person show at The Edward Hopper House in Nyack; in New Jersey, at the Ridgewood Art Institute with awards for best still life painting at several of their annual exhibitions; in Massachusetts, at the Springfield Art League’s juried show in the Springfield Museum of Art, with the award for Best Still Life Painting.  His work also may be found in many private collections.

Ron Goldfinger is presently represented by Christopher Queen Galleries at Duncans Mills in Sonoma County, California and Banks Fine Art in Dallas, Texas.  He paints in his Lee, Massachusetts studio.
